RX-78C - Gundam Cannon - North American Front A side project created on North America area when a Gundam testbed unit got without spare parts for the torso and backpack, and the engineers on the front line had the idea to adapt the GM Cannon's cannon on the Gundam. Initially, the idea was use the RGC-80's backpack too, but the thruster power wasn't enough to the 78, so they decided adopt the GMSPII backpack. A good idea but doing this, the Gundam would lack the beam saber, so they put it on Gundam's right forearm. It's is a 'what if' story, but who knows if Bandai make this officially on future?
